Spring Treatment - The first application of the year is made up of a slow release granular fertilizer containing high nutrient levels which will show a uniformity of grass colour and growth quickly even in low temperatures.
Early Summer Treatment - Is made up of a non scorch, slow release granule fertilizer application, which through new technology the outer coating releases nutrients pending on the soil temperature and moisture surrounding the granule, thus building a controlled start to the summer season that will stimulate root growth, ensuring a strong healthy sward.
Late Summer Treatment - This application is again made up of a non scorch, slow release granule fertilizer. This granule is made up of higher percentage of the nutrients that will encourage a longer lasting turf colour.
Autumn/Winter Treatment - This application is made up from a soluble fertilizer. The treatment gives a high quality feed that is particularly suited for the autumn/winter seasons when low soil temperatures are incurred. This treatment also reduces the growth of moss and thatch.
Lawn Treatments we recommend through the Winter Months
The two treatments we offer below are in addition to the above programs, as a Lawn care treatment Company we strongly recommend these two treatments to our customers as they are an important part of providing a strong healthy green lawn during the spring, summer and early autumn.
Both treatments are provided and applied separately to each other through the winter months.
Core Aeration - Reduces compaction and thatch to let air, water, and fertilizer down to the root zone. Core aeration also stimulates root growth by "pruning" the roots and deposits valuable micro-organisms on the lawn surface.
Machine Scarification - Scarification is carried out to remove organic matter from around the base of the grass plants and tidy up any straggly lateral growth. Scarification removes material, probably in the form of thatch or moss that will otherwise prevent good dense grass growth. If you do not scarify, debris will build up and lead to other problems. Thatchy and mossy lawns will not be very wear or drought tolerant. Hand scarification is hard work. If you have a large lawn, it will be better to use a machine.
